Duck Race

Duck Race to End Racism

Community Wide Dialogue to End Racism (CWD) is holding Syracuse’s Annual Duck Race to End Racism.  This family and community event will be held on Saturday, June 11 from 12 noon – 4:00 PM at Syracuse’s InnerHarbor.  The Duck Race brings together the many organizations and individuals who are working to create a level playing field for our children and those who are committed to the principles of racial equality.

A general community race of small, bathtub-toy sized ducks will be held with individual prizes and a grand prize to be won!  Individuals may sponsor a plastic, numbered duck for $5.00.  The duck will ‘race’ down Onondaga Creek to the finish line in the Inner Harbor, with the winners receiving prizes.

Sponsorship certificates will be for sale on Sundays, May 29 and June 5 in the narthex.  For every duck we sponsor, Pitcher Hill benefits by getting $2.50 back!

CWD is program of the InterFaith Works.
